Description
Nuclear weak interaction processes play important roles for astrophysics and particle physics. For example, nuclear beta decay is an important input for the rapid neutron-capture process (r-process) simulation, which is responsible for the synthesis of almost of half of the heavy elements in the universe. Neutrinoless double beta decay is a lepton number violation process that demonstrates the Majorana nature of the neutrinos. Nuclear models are essential in describing these nuclear weak interaction processes. In this talk, I will present our study on beta-decay half-lives and neutrinoless double beta decay matrix element using beyond mean-field approaches.
